Lesson 6 - 10 Happiness DNA DQ5 "Who Has Seen You Do Amazing Things?"
Life Scene Investigation and this class uses DNA both as a scientific reality but also as a way to describe who you are. DNA is a code with defined elements called alleles. Those alleles are the differences which define your uniqueness. That uniqueness is described when a person actually sees some act, occurrence, or thing and can give a firsthand account of it. The view it with thier own eyes.
They are Eye Witnesses
Eye Witness.
Whenever you see this icon, ask yourself, “Who saw me and said I was exceptional? Who has seen me perform or behave in a way that they believe is better than average?”
In each of the SPIES domains you will be asked to think about Witnesses who can add their observations of your Talent and Character. Start thinking about who you are going to identify and ask for Witness Statements.
Witness – a person who gives evidence of what they have seen.
What have you done that has been witnessed by your friends, family, class-mates, work associate, team-mates or others that would be judged to be Exceptional?
Personal, Peer and Eye Witnesses are people who are likely to see us:

At various times

Up close and personal
The weight and credibility of Personal, Peer and Eye Witnesses must be assessed by asking about:

Their relationship to the person they give evidence for or on behalf of.

The purpose they are giving evidence for.

Their objectivity because of their relationship.
None of these issues disqualify a Personal, Peer or Eye Witness. They are very important in identifying and collecting evidence and what they say matters. They are likely to know us better than anyone else and love us more as well.
The question is, how does someone seeing me make me happier. I would ask you if when you have been seen for doing something exceptional or being a exceptional person of character, how did it make you feel? I know how being seen makes me feel. Amazing. Acknowledged. I want to do more of the same and become even better.
So many people are never seen or their wonderful actions and Talents ignored or downplayed, even by parents or loved ones. Teachers, managers, coaches, siblings and spouses. How sad and how wrong!
Time to see how Witnesses can impact your life and make your Talent so much bigger and better. I would like you to share your VIA-Me Report with at least three people: friends, family or close class-mates.

Email them and attach a copy of your report or share in on social media.

Ask them to read it. Most people who are asked to read these reports love doing so. They are fascinated and love helping others.

Ask them to make a brief statement about how they have seen one or two of your Top 5 Strengths in your life.

Thank them when they respond. You will be surprised at how much people who care for us are willing and happy to do this.
